When starting my jewelry business, it was important for my jewelry to be beautiful AND AFFORDABLE! So, instead of using precious metals such as sterling silver and 14kt gold, I researched other wire options to find one that was beautiful, durable, and colorfast. With that, I came across several amazing German Style copper, bronze, gold, silver, and rose gold colored wires.
14KT GOLD-FILLED
Gold-filled wire is made by combining layers of 14Kt gold alloy with a base metal, usually brass. "Half-Hard" wire is malleable; however, it will maintain an intricate shape under stress.
12KT ROSE GOLD-FILLED
Rose gold is a popular and versatile designing option featuring a signature warm glow that flatters a broad range of skin tones. For wire-wrap jewelry designs, rose gold presents a wonderful complement to a variety of gemstones and component colors. The malleable half-hard wire is easy to manipulate and will maintain shape even under stress.
ARGENTIUM® SILVER
Argentium® silver is a fantastic type of sterling silver that contains a small amount of additional alloys, giving it dramatically better tarnish resistance than standard sterling silver. An occasional rinse or wipe with a soft cotton cloth will keep the metal in pristine condition.
